Temporary Title I Community School Teacher
LOCATION: Calaveras River Academy - Independent Study
(Community School, Grade Levels 6-12)

FTE: 1.0 FTE – 185 days per year
Credential: Valid Appropriate California Teaching Credential; Required NCLB Compliant in ALL core academic subjects taught at the high school level

DESCRIPTION: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Alternative Education and Instructional Technology, Community School Teachers will collaborate with staff from school sites, Probation Department and community agencies to problem-solve student behavior management issues and family intervention; negotiate and maintain a behavioral management program balanced with strong academic requirements; operate a self-contained setting within curriculum frameworks and standards; and work toward the goal of returning the community school students to regular school programs when appropriate.

Vocational Technician (Workability)
LOCATION: Position serves students attending high school programs within the Calaveras Unified School District Boundaries.
HOURS: 30 hours per week, 181 days per year (school term position)
RANGE: Range 8, 8X, 8AA or 8BA ($12.62 - $14.61 per hour) on the Calaveras County Office of Education Workability Technician’s Salary Schedule – 75% employer contribution toward health benefits.
DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Calaveras County Office of Education SELPA Director, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a career/vocational program for special needs students.

Behavior Analyst
LOCATION: Calaveras County Office of Education
HOURS: Full-time, 190 days per year, benefits. May be required to work Extended School Year.
SALARY: $59,662 (Step 1) - $62,760 (Step 3) plus stipend for Master's Degree.

Substitute Teacher for Child Development Program

SALARY: $12.42 per hour

Behavioral Health Clinician
LOCATION: Calaveras County Office of Education
FTE: 1.0 FTE – 190 days per year
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s Degree in job-related area.
- Licensed or license eligible in the state of California as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor(LPCC) or Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP)
- Minimum of 5 years job related experience within specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility required…OR…any combination of training, experience and/or education equivalent to a Master’s degree in psychology, mental health counseling, or social work.

SALARY: Range 8b of the Management/Confidential Salary Schedule $61,196 - $77,665 (Dependent upon experience), (plus $1,000 for Master’s Degree).
DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the SELPA Director/Program Manager, the Behavioral Health Clinician will provide supportive and direct services to students with problem behaviors that interfere with academic performance and developmental progress, cause conflict with peers, community or family, and/or put the student at risk for placement in more restrictive educational setting, higher levels of mental health care and/or out of home placement. The Behavioral Health Clinician will provide Educationally Related Mental Health Services including: counseling, assessment, evaluation, treatment, and case management for students with special needs and their families; will provide consultation and training to teachers, paraprofessionals and parents; support the implementation of positive behavioral interventions conforming to the Hughes Bill and to IDEA. Mental health services may be provided at counseling centers, in student homes, at school sites and/or in the community.
