About CCOE

The Calaveras County Office of Education (CCOE) partners with our four local school districts and the community to provide quality education to Calaveras County students, traditional kindergarten through twelfth grades.

County Offices of Education (COE) serves as a link between school districts and the California Department of Education (CDE). COEs provide resources, guidance, and oversight to help schools comply with state laws. CCOE directly manages alternative education programs: Calaveras River Academy, Oakendell Community School, and provides Adult Education Services, including ESL (English as a Second Language). In addition, CCOE provides oversight for Mountain Oaks Charter School and serves as the Responsible Local Agency for Calaveras County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA).

CCOE provides the education programs above along with Child Development Programs, countywide Student Events, Family Connections, Foster Youth Programs, Mentoring Programs, and Youth Development Programs. Services include accountability oversight and support, staff development, credential monitoring, district LCAP oversight, fiscal services, internet services provider, LiveScan fingerprinting, Student Attendance Review Board (SARB), and many more.
