Business / Payroll Services

Welcome to the Calaveras County Office of Education Business Services Department.  We are a small office, but our responsibilities are divided into two primary functions--County Office Business Services and District Fiscal Services. 

County Office Business Services manages and supports the Calaveras County Office of Education's budget and financial activities to ensure fiscally responsible management of all our programs and services.

District Fiscal Services provides business, payroll and retirement reporting services to Bret Harte Union High School District, Calaveras Unified School District, Mark Twain Union Elementary School District, Vallecito Union Elementary School District, and Mountain Oaks School. Additionally, we serve as the intermediary between the State of California and our local school districts by conducting the fiscal oversight responsibilities of the County Superintendent.  These responsibilities include reviewing all State fiscal reporting done by local school districts, providing fiscal management assistance and support to those districts, and by providing fiscal resources and training as necessary.
