I currently hold my Site Supervisor permit and have over 20 years of teaching experience starting as a teacher and Home Visitor at Head Start Preschool and 7 years at a preschool in Murphys. I started with Extended Day in 2008 as a teacher at the Michelson Center and became Site Supervisor at Hazel Fischer in 2009. I am currently working as the Site Supervisor at Michelson Extended Day and serve as the Nutrition Technician for the entire Child Development Program.

I am currently working on my Early Childhood Education degree, and have a background in Art, English and Biology.

I grew up in the Bay Area and have come up to Arnold my whole life with family. I moved to Arnold in 2014. I am currently finishing my AA in Early Childhood Development. I have worked at the Hazel Fischer Extended Day Site for 4 years. I am now The Site Supervisor at the Hazel Fischer Extended Day Site. I love what I do! The children enrich my life in more ways then I could ever have imagined.

I have my bachelor's in child development from Stanislaus State and have worked in Education for the last 20 years. My expertise has taken me from California to Colorado and back again, running preschool programs all the way to owning and operating my own Tutoring company. I was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe but have lived in Murphys since I was 12. I like to share my hobbies with my students through STEAM, 3D printing, reading, and rocks.

 I earned my Bachelor’s in Child Development, as well as my Master’s in Education with a Specialization in Child Development through Ashford University. I have worked with children all my life, including two out of three of the local school districts and the Columbia College Preschool. I have worked in classrooms from typically developing student to Resource classrooms and Special Day classrooms. When I first began my educational journey, my daughters were in their early teens and are now both adults. I also have a son who is currently enrolled in one of our local elementary schools. I love to travel and spend time with my family, especially traveling to the beach. I am definitely a “hotel camper” rather than an outdoor camper. I love all kinds of crafting in my spare time and have my own small business as well, selling skincare products.

I am an experienced educator who has a passion for helping people. I have worked as an educator for over 19 years, both as a teacher’s aide and a substitute teacher. I am a dedicated individual who is always willing to learn new tasks. I have recently relocated to Calaveras County, and am now a Child Development Aide for Michelson Extended Day Program. I enjoy what I do!
