Bullying is a community issue, affecting not only those who are bullied but also their families, their friends and bystanders. If left unchecked, bullying can poison an entire school culture.

The California Department of Education is required to post a list of available online training modules relating to bullying or bullying prevention in addition to the existing CDE training module, and Local Educational Agencies must make training available to certificated and all other school site employees who have regular interaction with students.

CCOE recognizes the harmful effects of bullying on student well-being, student learning, and school attendance and desires to provide a safe school environment that protects students from physical and emotional harm.
