Building Bridges Preschool
Welcome to Building Bridges Preschool
Building Bridges is a part day State Preschool licensed through the State of California Department of Social Services River City Community Care Licensing Division and governed by the California Department of Education. Children 3 years of age and up to enrollment in Kindergarten are accepted into our preschool program. Children must reach their 3rd birthday based upon state recommendation for admission into schools to be eligible for enrollment. There are slots available for both subsidized families as well as private pay families. Only children who are able to use the bathroom independently will be accepted into the program. Special arrangements may be made for children with disabilities. If you believe your child requires such modifications, please contact the Program Director. All children may be enrolled on a trial basis.
We are very excited to be using Zoo-phonics and Handwriting Without Tears as our curriculum base. The children learn while having fun. The preschool follows the Mark Twain Union Elementary School District calendar and is housed on the Copperopolis Elementary School campus.
We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). CACFP provides aid to child and adult care institutions and family or group day care homes for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children, and the health and wellness of older adults and chronically impaired disabled persons. The children are provided with a healthy snack each day. Snacks are served family style and we utilize this time to teach manners, socialization, and etiquette to the children.
