Mission, Vision & Learning Goals

Mission Statement:

Learning Goals:

Academically Proficient Individuals Who:

  • Demonstrate effective reading, writing, speaking, listening, and technological literacy skills
  • Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend a variety of genres including but not limited to: fiction, mystery, expository, fantasy, poetry, science fiction, myths, and biography
  • Demonstrate ability to write for a variety of purposes including: persuasive, response to literature, expository, biographical narrative, and workplace documents
  • Demonstrate competency in Algebra as well as in fundamental math concepts and problem solving
  • Demonstrate mastery of California’s Common Core State Standards for all courses of study


Socially Aware Individuals Who:

  • Demonstrate ethical decision making based upon Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship
  • Demonstrate self-discipline and accept individual and group responsibility
  • Use effective leadership skills to promote cooperation among their peers
  • Demonstrate a healthy lifestyle socially, emotionally, and physically
  • Contribute their time, talents and efforts to improve their environment, school, & community
