My name is Melanie and I have been employed by the County Office of Education for over 12 years. I started as a teacher in the Extended Day program. I took the position as site supervisor in the preschool over 8 years ago and I enjoy it immensely. I have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a major in Family Consumer Sciences. I also worked in physical therapy as a PT technician for many years. The greatest achievement in my life would have to be having my three children, whom I love dearly. I am also a proud Grandma! My goal as a teacher is to teach not only the foundations of learning, but also kindness, respect, and confidence in oneself.

Jessica Robertson’s love for helping young students began as a senior in high school. For her senior project she volunteered at the on-site preschool at her high school campus. She created a lesson plan to teach the children how to create stick-on Easter sun catchers for windows, using squeeze-tube-stained glass gel. In 2018 Jessica’s passion for early childhood education became a reality when she participated in an Apprenticeship Teacher Aid program through The Resource Connection and Columbia College. Taking college classes and returning to the workforce with children in the infant/toddler program, preschool and high school was challenging. Lucky to have a fantastic supportive husband and family surrounding her, even with the extra complications Covid-19 brought, Jessica was able to complete the program exceeding the Teachers Aid permit level and achieving her Associate Teachers credentialing. Jessica is continuing her education with hopes to continue to advance her permit level, education and abilities to teach, engage and encourage young minds for the foreseeable future.
