- Changes to Employee Screening:
- The COVID-19 permanent standards have been officially adopted by the OAL and are effective immediately. The changes include no longer requiring daily COVID-19 screening and ending COVID leave. All other current standards are still in effect, including:
- Employees must report to their supervisor if they test positive for COVID-19 and follow guidelines for returning to work after symptoms have passed or after a negative test.
- CCOE will provide COVID-19 test kits, notify public health and close contacts, and provide masks to employees.
- Close contacts will wear a mask for up to ten days (removing masks sooner than day 10 with two sequential negative tests at least one day apart), and test on days 3-5.
- Employees will receive training on COVID-19.

Online Training
The Calaveras County Office of Education (CCOE) is fully committed to the health and safety of all staff, students, and visitors. CCOE believes that occupant safety and a healthy environment are important factors in the functioning of the total educational program, making the County schools a better place to learn and work, creating positive relationships with the districts we serve and stakeholders, and preparing students to be responsible citizens and to work safely in the community.As part of CCOE's ongoing obligation to meet this safety commitment and comply with regulatory requirements, all employees must complete certain safety training when they first start working for CCOE and periodically thereafter. The courses are available through the "Get Safety Trained" Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC) online training system and can be completed at the convenience of the employees.
**Please Note: The new GetSafetyTrained.com website continues to be a work in progress; however, is currently available for staff to complete their annual online training for the 2022-2023 school year. Please provide CCOE with a copy of your training certificates or a screenshot of your completed courses on or before August 30, 2022. All employees are expected to complete annual training online for the 2022-2023 school year, between July 5, 2022, and August 30, 2022.
For NEW staff, all required training will need to be completed within 2-weeks of employment.
- Training is available 24-hours a day from any computer or tablet with internet access.
- Users can view and monitor their own personal training records and view or print course completion certificates as needed.
- Paperless training records are kept in the database.
